Engineering Technology Lead Faculty- Advanced Manufacturing
Brian Fleming holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, and a professional teaching certificate from Texas A&M University-Commerce, where he plans to work on a master’s degree in industrial engineering. On the Richland College faculty since 2004, he taught engineering, computer aided design (CAD) and robotics courses at Richardson ISD’s J.J. Pearce High School for nine years.
His professional experience includes serving as a design engineer for Ram Inc., an injection molding firm in Cisco, Texas, where he was in charge of product and part manufacturing design for the company’s high-thermal plastics. He also worked as a quality technician for Huck International, a mechanical engineering firm in Waco, in charge of testing parts coming off the heat-treat line, including rejection reports and failure analyses.

PhD – Engineering Technology Lead Faculty- Electronics
Dr. Kory J. Goldammer, who came to Richland College in the Fall of 2010, holds a doctorate in physics and a master’s degree in engineering physics from the University of Oklahoma. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering physics from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Dr. Goldammer worked for 12 years in the semiconductor industry, filling roles in companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500 corporations, and was an independent consultant in the semiconductor industry for two years. During that time, he worked with most of the largest semiconductor corporations in the world, but he always had a desire to teach.
He also served as a graduate research assistant in the University of Oklahoma’s Molecular Beam Epitaxy Lab, assisting in the construction of the $1 million lab from the ground up and performing research and tests leading to the creation of the highest room-temperature electron mobility structures ever measured at the university.

Engineering Technology Faculty- Electronics
Simona Farcasiu, joined Richland College as Electronics faculty in the Fall of 2015, holds a master’s degree in Learning Technology. Prior to joining Richland College she taught at Northlake College and developed courseware at the LeCroy Center for Educational Technology.
She taught a variety of courses at ITT Technical Institute, where she also served as Dean of Academic Affairs. Simona Farcasiu worked as an Engineer in the Telecommunications industry designing automated Test Equipment before moving in the academic environment. She serves on the advisory board at ITT Technical Institute and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
