Head Coach: Sean Worley

sean-worleySean Worley begins his 21th year at the helm of the Richland Men’s Soccer Program, where the T-Ducks have compiled a record of 283 wins 87 losses 23 ties. I have 25 years Coaching experience. Worley, a native of San Jose, CA, has 20 years coaching experience. He has coached at the college, high school, club and Olympic Development Program levels. Worley, an accomplished graduate of San Diego State University also holds a United States Soccer Federation “A” license.

While coaching on the west coast, Worley spent three years at Del Mar High School where he managed his team to two consecutive West Valley Athletic League Championships. The 1993 team finished second in the Central Coast Section Championships (State Tournament). In 1992 and 1993 at Del Mar, Worley’s team posted a combined record of 30-17-11. At the collegiate level, Worley served as an assistant coach at De Anza College in Cupertino, CA for two seasons, 1992-1994. In that time he helped guide the De Anza Dons to a Northern California Soccer Championship in 1993 and a combined two-year record of 37-2-6. In the 1993 season, De Anza finished 3rd in the state.

At the club level, Worley served as a coach for the Storm Soccer Club in Plano, TX for six seasons. He coached for the Dallas Inter Soccer Club (91 boys blue), for 2 years one of the premier clubs in Texas. His past experience coaching club includes serving as head coach for the Central Valley United. Worley coached the United to a 1993 U-19 California State Championship. While in Dallas he served as head coach for the 1980 and 1981 ODP State Teams. NSCAA Coach of the Year 2002, 2003.

In 2005, Worley received his Master’s in Health, Kinesiology and Sports Studies from Texas A&M-Commerce.

Consistently in the Top 10 of the NSCAA and NJCAA National Rankings. NJCAA Region V Champions 20 years in a row (1990-2010). NJCAA District Runners-up 1996, 1997, and 2000. Numerous NJCAA and NSCAA All Americans. High transfer rate to 4-year institutions.

Assistant Coach: Raul Herrera

Raul HerreraRaul Herrera enters his sixth season at Richland College. Raul’s duties include working with the goalkeepers, running training sessions and recruiting student athletes. Under Raul’s guidance as assistant coach, the Thunderducks placed 3rd at NJCAA National Tournament in 2013 and 2015. Also, in 2014, he helped the Duck’s to a NJCAA National Runner-up finish. Raul has helped over 40 student/athlete’s transfer and play at the next level from NAIA to NCAA Division I, II and III. Including 8 players who went on to play at a NCAA Division I program.

Besides working with Richland College, Raul Herrera is one of the academy goalkeeper coaches at FC Dallas. He has trained and helped develop numerous youth national team goalkeepers and has been part of the process of two academy goalkeepers getting signed to the professional team.

Raul Herrera is a native of Richardson, Texas. He graduated from Berkner High School where he was a 4 year starter on the Varsity soccer team. In college Raul become a 3 time College All-American. His first year as an All-American came in 2006 where he was Head Coach Sean Worley’s Starting goalkeeper on the team that won the 2006 NJCAA National Championship. He later moved on to play at Midwestern State under Coach Doug Elder where he became a 2-time All-American starter and led the team to the NCAA D2 Final Four appearance in 2010. In 2009 Raul Herrera led the NCAA in all divisions with the lowest goals against in the nation with only 5 goals in 16 games.

Raul Herrera currently holds a “D” license from the USSF. He also has a Spanish degree with a minor in Kinesiology from Midwestern State University. He is currently working on his Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from Midwestern State University.

Assistant Coach: Jorge Molina

Assistant Coach: Jorge MolinaJorge begins his 1st year at Richland College. He is an exciting addition to the Richland Soccer staff and program. He brings with him a wealth of skill and knowledge, with over 24 years coaching experience ranging from youth to semi-professional. He also played professional soccer in Mexico for 6 years, with Club Futbol De Monterrey, and Club Santos Laguna. Jorge graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas. He currently works with FC Dallas soccer club.
