Online Tutoring Opportunities
The Learning Center (TLC)
The Learning Center provides opportunities for online students to receive tutoring. These online tutoring communities are located on the Community tab of eCampus once you are logged in. If you are in certain classes such as MATH 1314, you will be automatically entered in the community.

Description of services
- Live (synchronous) tutoring: you will be able to ask questions (using chat or a microphone), send a tutor your work on a specific problem for comments, and/or work with the tutor on the whiteboard.
- Offline (asynchronous) tutoring: you can ask a question without meeting with a tutor. Generally responses take a few hours depending on the day and time the question is posted.
- Live workshops: you will be able to ask questions (using chat or a microphone), send your work to the facilitator for comments, and/or work with the facilitator on the whiteboard.
- Resources: study skills, test taking strategies, and links to topics of interest.
English Corner
Providing free tutoring by the outstanding full-time and adjunct English professors of Richland College.
The English Corner’s mission is to extend classroom learning by creating a proactive tutoring and study area that supports and guides students throughout the reading and writing process. The dedicated staff of Richland English professors assists students enrolled in English 1301 or 1302 writing courses through empowering students to accomplish goals, enhance their achievements, and inspire them to become lifelong learners and achieve the dream of graduating from college.
