{"id":6419,"date":"2015-02-24T20:35:14","date_gmt":"2015-02-25T02:35:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/randyjensenonline.com\/rlcalt\/?page_id=6419"},"modified":"2017-11-29T12:09:14","modified_gmt":"2017-11-29T18:09:14","slug":"montgomery-gi-bill-recipients","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/randyjensenonline.com\/rlcalt\/veteran-services\/montgomery-gi-bill-recipients\/","title":{"rendered":"Montgomery GI Bill\u00ae Recipients"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><h7 id=\"newStudents\">For First-Time Claimants<\/h7>\n<p>If you have never used your VA education benefits before, here are the forms you will need to establish a record in your college&#8217;s VA Office:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"\/assets\/uploads\/2015\/02\/va-checklist.pdf\">RLC VA Checklist Sheet<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.airuniversity.af.mil\/Barnes\/CCAF\/Display\/Article\/803247\/\">Order your Official Joint Services Transcript or CCAF transcript\u201d as #2 for both the First Time Claimants and For Transfer students<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/vabenefits.vba.va.gov\/vonapp\/main.asp\">VA Application<\/a> &#8211; signed confirmation page from the <a href=\"http:\/\/vabenefits.vba.va.gov\/vonapp\/main.asp\">Veterans On-line Application Web site (VONAPP)<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>Use VA Application 22-1990 if you were on active duty or a reservist, or VA 22-5490 if you are a dependent. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Official Degree Plan &#8211; Certifications will be done once the transcripts have been  evaluated and the official degree plan has been received from the  Administrations Office or a parent letter has been received from your main  college \/ university. The degree plan request form is currently available in  the Admissions and FA\/VA Offices. <span class=\"strong\">Transcripts<\/span> must be turned in to the Admissions Office. This is required for each term along with the Tuition Account Summary\/Registration Summary for the same term.<\/li>\n<li>Submit your&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/econnect.dcccd.edu\/summary.html\" target=\"_blank\">Tuition         Account Summary<\/a> (eConnect &#8211; login required). This is submitted <strong>every semester<\/strong> in which you&nbsp;want to claim&nbsp;your education benefits.<\/li>\n<li>If you <strong>are changing or have changed your degree plan<\/strong>, please submit the new         official degree plan and a <a href=\"http:\/\/vabenefits.vba.va.gov\/vonapp\/main.asp\" target=\"_blank\">VA         request for change of program form<\/a> (VA Application 22-1995 if you were on active duty or a Reservist, or VA 22-5495 if you are a dependent). <\/li>\n<li>Ensure the <a href=\"\/admissions\">Admissions Office<\/a> has your current information.
