May 8-11, July 7 and Aug. 9-10, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>In order to accommodate as many students as possible on any scheduled TSI Assessment date, the exam will be administered according to the number of sections a student is required to take. There are four sections: Reading, Writing, Math, and Computer Skills Placement (CSP). The average length of time for the entire exam is 4-6 hours. Re-tests are $10.00 per section up to $40.00 for entire retest.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that it is possible for the reading, writing or math sections to branch into a diagnostic component or an ABE component depending on your scores.<\/p>\n<p>Reading: 24 initial questions, no time limit. (Possible 48 diagnostic questions OR 30 Adult Basic Education questions)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reading score of 351-390 no additional testing= college level ready<\/li>\n<li>Reading score of 342-350 will take the developmental diagnostic component\/part<\/li>\n<li>Reading score of 310-341 will take the Adult Basic Education component\/part<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Writing: 20 initial questions, no time limit. (Possible 48 diagnostic questions OR 30 Adult Basic Education questions and\/or type an essay of 300-600 words)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Writing score of 363+ will receive only the Essay<\/li>\n<li>Writing score of 350-362 will receive the Essay. If the essay score is below 5 will receive the diagnostic component.<\/li>\n<li>*Writing score of 310-349 will receive the Adult Basic Education component (If ABE score is 4+ will receive the essay)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Math: Approximately 20 questions- no time limit. (Possible 48 diagnostic question OR 40 Adult Basic Education questions)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Math score of 350-390 no additional testing at this time = college level ready<\/li>\n<li>Math score of 336-349 will receive the developmental diagnostic component\/part<\/li>\n<li>Math score of 310-335 will receive the Adult Basic Education Diagnostic component\/part<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Mondays and Wednesdays students may check-in between the following hours:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> 8:30 A.M. &#8211; 4:30 P.M. if the student is taking the entire exam. ALL Cell phones MUST be turned completely off.
